Preparing to Host Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s 2024 Games of Texas, July 25th-28th

Brownsville, Texas – The City of Brownsville and the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation are thrilled to announce that Brownsville will host the 2024 Games of Texas for a second year in a row. The athletic competition is happening from July 25th to July 28th, at the Rio Gande Valley’s largest city. Brownsville has been chosen to hold this event, thanks to its strong commitment to amateur athletics and enhancing community life through parks, recreation, and leisure services.

This year’s Games of Texas are set to be a monumental event, anticipated to attract more than 10,000 athletes, family members, and friends. Events will span across multiple City venues, including venues operated by the Brownsville Independent School District. Athletes who prevail will have the opportunity to advance to state-level competitions, creating lasting memories and showcasing their skills in a celebration of sport and community spirit.

Accommodation is readily available but booking in advance is recommended to ensure the best experience during your stay in Brownsville.
