EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres, in collaboration with La Union Del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), and Rincon Del Valle residents, will host a Street Lighting recognition event to acknowledge and celebrate the installation of street lights placed in their subdivision.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Rincon Del Valle.

“This program is important on so many levels, but the county’s focus is on creating higher standards for neighborhood development that generates safer communities,” said Torres.  “The residents have been pleased with the outcome, and are anxious to celebrate under the street lights.”
