DALLAS, Texas – PlainsCapital Bank has announced that Judge John Gonzales Jr. has joined its Edinburg lending group as senior vice president, commercial loan officer at the Bank’s 100 W. Cano Street location.

“John will be an excellent addition to our lending team and a great resource to the business owners in the communities we serve,” said Rio Grande Valley Region Chairman Robert Norman. “His vast experience in financial services and knowledge of the region will help us deliver even greater value to our clients.” 

Gonzales brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, including roles in the banking, financial advisory, and insurance industries as well as local government. He received his BBA in finance from Texas A&I University and his MBA from the University of Texas-Pan American.

Throughout his career, John has been involved in various community-focused organizations, including the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC), and the Texas Border Coalition.
