DALLAS, Texas – PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Charles Hervey and Scott Allex have joined its Harlingen banking group at 1010 S. Expressway 83. Hervey will serve as senior vice president, commercial loan officer, while Allex will serve as vice president, business development officer.

Hervey has more than 25 years of banking experience, including 23 years in commercial lending. He joins from Rio Bank where he served as senior vice president and Harlingen area president. Hervey is currently a board member for the San Benito Industrial Foundation, Texas State Technical College Foundation, and the East Rio Hondo Water Supply Corporation. He previously served as a board member for the Harlingen Industrial Foundation, the Harlingen Downtown Development Corporation, and San Benito Chamber of Commerce.
Allex brings 26 years of financial services experience, with over 19 years serving as a financial advisor. He has worked at multiple wealth management firms, including Ameriprise Financial, Level Four Wealth Management, and Long Chilton LLP. Allex has served on the board of directors for the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation, and the Rotary Club of Harlingen.
Hervey and Allex each received a bachelor’s in economics from Texas A&M University at College Station.
