Armando Christian Perez, AKA Pitbull, will perform before a sold-out crowd Tuesday February 3rd at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo. State Farm Arena, the premier concert venue of the Rio Grande Valley, is the perfect setting for a Pitbull concert based on the Miami-born entertainer’s penchant for intimate exchanges with the audience during his shows.
Since blasting onto the music scene in 2002 with his rap on the Lil Jon album Kings of Crunk, Pitbull has established himself as much more than an energetic, if not hypnotic rapper. Today, living the life of an industry megastar, the 2013 Latin Grammy Award winner commands the attention of fellow superstars Jennifer Lopez, Wyclef Jean and Janet Jackson to collaborate and support their own major projects. On the business end of the spectrum, Pitbull has scored numerous endorsements with many of the biggest of the big Fortune 500 companies to include Kodak, Budweiser, Wal-Mart and Dr. Pepper.
Much of his performance at State Farm Arena will be from his eighth studio album, Globalization, released late last year; but fans will get a full serving of his earlier standards to include “Eche Pa’lla”, “Timber” and “Give Me Everything”.
