The Pharr City Commission and Kenneth Ennis, Public Safety Communications Director for the City of Pharr, recognized Jennifer Carreon, a Telecommunications Officer, for receiving the prestigious State of Texas Silent Hero Award at the Texas Public Safety Communications State Conference. Carreon was one of only 22 individuals statewide to be honored for her exemplary performance in daily duties, demonstrating dedication and exceptional service behind the scenes. 

For Carreon, receiving this honor was not just a personal achievement but also a testament to the vital role telecommunications officers play in ensuring the smooth operation of emergency services. Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, M.D., congratulated Carreon, stating, “We congratulate you on this award and for representing the City of Pharr and encourage you to keep up the great work.” This recognition highlights Carreon’s crucial role in public safety communications and her ongoing commitment to serving the Pharr community.
