“I welcome all of you and thank you for joining us here for another great event in Pharr as we celebrate a great milestone for Majestic and MasterBrand in this grand development you see right here. They are moving pretty fast, so we are very excited about that,” said Karina Lopez, Economic Development Manager for the Pharr Economic Development Corporation (PEDC), as she opened the groundbreaking ceremony. Her words captured the energy and vision driving the transformation of Pharr, Texas, as it became home to a new state-of-the-art MasterBrand manufacturing facility. The event marked a critical milestone for the community and region.

MasterBrand, a prominent cabinet manufacturer with products available at major retailers like Lowe’s and Home Depot, is set to establish a significant new facility. This project is being developed by Majestic Realty Co., a California-based firm and one of the largest privately held industrial developers specializing in master-planned business parks across the United States. The new facility will be part of the expansive Majestic International Trade Port, a master-planned industrial park covering 600 acres in Pharr.

Victor Perez, President and CEO of the Pharr Economic Development Corporation, highlighted the potential of this development for the region, stating, “This groundbreaking represents a monumental step forward for the City of Pharr and the Rio Grande Valley as a whole. Projects like this bring high-quality jobs, attract additional investment, and reinforce Pharr’s position as a key player in economic development for South Texas.” Perez added, “We are proud to welcome MasterBrand to Pharr and look forward to the lasting economic benefits this facility will bring our community.”

Al Sorrels, Senior Vice President of Majestic Realty Co., took the podium to offer insights into Majestic Realty’s journey. “Transforming farmland into an industrial hub is not without its challenges,” Sorrels noted, recognizing Pharr’s visionary leadership’s critical role in overcoming these hurdles. “It takes a team,” he emphasized, commending the dedication and expertise of contractors, engineers, and community partners.
