Pharr Police Bust Drug house

PHARR, Texas – The Pharr Police Department has charged two men with several drug-related charges, after a call from a concerned citizen led to a drug house bust.
 
The anonymous tip to police was made on Thursday, May 5. The caller reported suspicious activity on the 100 block of West Cardinal, including unknown vehicles coming and going at all hours of the day. Police quickly responded by setting up a surveillance operation, that same day. Officers conducted a traffic stop on one of the vehicles leaving the suspected drug house, during which they found marihuana inside the vehicle.
 
Officers continued to gather evidence and secured a search warrant for the suspected home. At about 3 p.m. on Friday, May 6, officers executed the search warrant at the home on West Cardinal, where inside they found approximately 737 grams of marihuana, Xanax pills, THC, and approximately $2,500 of US currency.
 
Officers arrested both men that were found inside the home: Jesus Delfino Sanchez (8/10/90) and Arturo Martinez (7/18/04).
 
Each man is charged with:
– Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (PG3 a State Jail Felony)
– Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (PG2 a 2^nd Degree Felony)
– Possession of Marihuana (State Jail Felony)
– Engaging in organized criminal activity (1^st Degree Felony)
 
A Pharr Municipal Court judge issued each subject a total bond of $20,000 (for all four charges).
