The City of Pharr had one of the most interesting Expos; it could grow to be the biggest in years to come. They hosted the Pharr International Trucking Expo at the Pharr Events Center for the first time. Forty companies participated, bringing together hundreds of people attending the free event.

Angie Galaviz, Safety Director for Logasa Compliance & Safety Services Inc. was one of the participating exhibitors. Their company provides vital services for the trucking industry, services like driver training, drug tests, and they make sure that they meet all the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

“We make sure companies comply with the mandatory regulations of DOT, the Department of Transportation, who are the people in charge of overseeing federal Laws for public transportation.”

So, your company is in charge of providing a very important service for this industry?“That’s right! Because we are training drivers to know how much they are supposed to drive and sleep in order to avoid accidents on the roads,” she said.

Logasa has been in the market for the past five years and is located at 200 E. Expressway 83 in Pharr, TX.

What makes you different from your competition?“Our specialized services and personal attention, plus our ability to do everything manually makes us the best.”

She pointed out that consultants usually only verify that things are done correctly. In their case, they do verification in person with 10 people in the field for each company. “We work with every department and evocating trust because our customers know we are working especially for them.”She said, “What is important is that they understand that we help them avoid tickets and accidents. We always report directly to DOT to ensure their companies are meeting the regulations.”

In addition, Galaviz said that their participation has an important mission, that is to convey the message about their services available to all of them.
