As keynote speaker, Santos underscored the pivotal role of Pharr EDC in positioning the region as a key player in North America’s industrial and manufacturing supply chains. She highlighted the strategic importance of regional partnerships and binational initiatives in fostering long-term economic development. A central focus of her presentation was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the Pharr EDC and the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico in 2024, an agreement aimed at deepening economic ties and creating a global business hub in the Pharr-Reynosa region.
The seminar featured industry panels showcasing economic development agencies from Houston, Michigan, and Pharr. “Binational investment is not just about capital—it’s about shared vision, shared growth, and shared prosperity. By strengthening economic ties between the U.S. and Mexico, we are building a more resilient, competitive, and globally connected North American region,” Santos continued. “Pharr EDC remains deeply committed to promoting binational investment, innovation, and inclusive economic progress through strategic collaboration and forward-thinking development,” Victor Perez, President and CEO of the Pharr EDC added. “The success of the conference opened the door to numerous promising leads, and Pharr EDC looks forward to building on these connections to foster new partnerships, advance ongoing initiatives, and continue strengthening binational economic ties in the months ahead.”
