The Pharr Community Theater will have open auditions for “A Tejano Christmas Carol”. Adapted from the Charles Dickens story, Ezequiel Codos is a mean spirited water broker whose about to sell all the water rights from the Rio Grande to grave consequence, that is, unless the ghosts of Pancho Villa and La Rielera from Mexico’s revolutionary days can stop him. This fun, dramatic, bi-lingual play (predominately in English) with song and dance will play December 1 through December 11 in Pharr and will include a few Winter Texan Park tours up until the 20th of December. Needed for the cast are 6 men between between ages 18 and 85 and 6 women between ages 18 and 85 and 5 children between ages 8 and 17. A few young adult dancers and singers with experience are encouraged to try-out as well. Auditions will be held on October 4 & 5from 7pm to 9pm at the Elva and Keith Michal’s Performing Arts Center, at 213 W Newcombe Ave, Pharr, TX. Auditions will be cold reading from the script and on a first come first serve bases. All those interested are welcome to try-out.
