McALLEN, TX – The wait is over! The 11th Annual PalmFest International Folklife Celebration is here, Oct 1 and 2, and promises a fun-filled weekend of music, food and excitement for the entire family.
Entry is $5, Kids 12 & Under FREE and gates open at 12 pm each day.
As with previous years, part of what makes PalmFest one of the most anticipated outdoor events in the Rio Grande Valley are the many attractions spread throughout the McAllen Convention Center landscape.
Festival goers can admire the classic cars on display, take stroll through Rodeo Marketplace and pick up some one-of-a-kind artisan crafts, or sit front and center to cheer on their favorite piglet at the always-entertaining, Pig Races.
This year, in addition to the return of Kids’ Ville, PalmFest promises an extra special treat for the little ones. “Apple Blossom” and “Kooky Cookie”, otherwise known as Shopkins – those colorful grocery-themed characters by Moose Toys, will be ready for a FREE meet and greet and photo-op, Saturday and Sunday.

(Game will be broadcasted in viewing areas on site). You can find the DCC beauties at the Pepsi Manzanita Sol Sampling Tent from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm.
