“As a resident of district 4, I have seen the needs of our district and also the need of our whole city,” García told Texas Border Business.
Garcia is a successful businessman employing more than 40 employees. He is married to Susan; they have two children, Miranda, and Rodrigo Garcia.
Garcia has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and currently serves with the Cámara de Comercio Internacional (international chamber of commerce), a nonprofit organization that invites businesspeople from Mexico and all over the world.
“I am the co-cofounder and the treasurer. The chamber currently has 300 members, and their offices are in district 4,” he said.
Garcia believes that giving back to the community is paramount to him and his family. He feels district 4 needs representation from someone the loves working with the community. “That is why I am also a community board member at district 4.
“I am committed to serving my district and our beautiful city in any possible way that brings progress for everyone.” He continued, “I am convinced that proper budgeting, spending, and planning are an essential exercise for our city.”
Garcia said he decided to throw his hat in the ring and run for district 4 because of the support and encouragement of family and friends. “My expertise as a businessman and my willingness to serve are great factors that make me the right candidate for this position,” Garcia finalized.
