Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront.  “He is an amazing corporate leader who has a deep appreciation of all our military families do to defend the freedoms we, as Americans, enjoy daily and an unwavering commitment to helping them thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.”

A seasoned leader, Uli has over 22 years of management experience.  In his role with Walmart, he is responsible for the daily store performance and operations of 11 markets and 39,000 associates in South Texas area expanding from San Antonio, Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Austin, Waco, and Killeen.  Additional responsibilities include accelerating growth and maintaining Return on Investment (ROI) for operations in intensely competitive markets.  He is a people champion with leadership ingenuity, most effective in managing associate relationships and training while championing mentoring teams to outperform the competition.

“Uli is a great addition to the Operation Homefront board,” said Lt. Gen. (ret.) Brian Arnold, the chairman of Operation Homefront’s board of directors.  “His management expertise will be invaluable in helping us continue to accomplish our mission to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.”

He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout his career. As a Director of Innovations, Walmart South Central Division, Uli was responsible for new initiatives, technology implementation and operational support to 650 stores within seven Walmart regions.  He served as Market Manager in East Tennessee, Region 12, leading the largest profit market in the region responsible for $675 million in sales, $55 million in profit and 3,200 Associates.  He also held positions such as Store Manager/Regional & Divisional Trainer in Tennessee and Florida.

Uli was able to see firsthand the dedication and hard work of military service members during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey when he visited Corpus Christi and Puerto Rico, where Walmart and Operation Homefront have partnered to provide assistance to military families impacted by last year’s natural disasters.

“I am humbled by our military men and women’s daily sacrifices for our country along with their families’ sacrifices both stateside and overseas,” Uli said.  “As long as there is a need for the military, there will be a need for Operation Homefront.  They provide what is needed to men and women of the Armed Forces.”
