PHARR, Texas – Operation Christmas RGV, a nonprofit dedicated to serving underserved communities in the Rio Grande Valley, is thrilled to celebrate its two-year anniversary. Since its founding in 2022, the organization has grown from a small group of dedicated volunteers to a regional movement of compassion and community spirit.
Over the past two years, Operation Christmas RGV has made a significant impact by: |
Providing hundreds of families with meals through the Thanksgiving Together initiative. |
Delivering toys and holiday cheer to children in need through the Heroes United Toy Drive. |
Hosting community-centered events such as back-to-school bashes, and car shows, fostering unity and joy |
“This milestone is a testament to the power of community and faith,” said Emanuel Martinez, President of Operation Christmas RGV. “We started with a simple idea: to bring hope to those who need it most. Today, we’re humbled by the support we’ve received and the lives we’ve touched. It’s a reminder that together, we can create miracles.”
As part of the celebration, the organization is reflecting on its accomplishments while preparing for even greater efforts, including the upcoming 2nd Annual Heroes United Christmas Bash and Car Show on December 21, 2024, in Weslaco. This event will cap off a year of service and set the stage for an exciting 2025.
Operation Christmas RGV expresses heartfelt gratitude to its volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who have made these past two years possible. Moving forward, the organization is committed to expanding its outreach, empowering more families, and building lasting change.
