Alamo, Texas- Operation Christmas RGV is elated to be celebrating their 1-year anniversary. It was exactly one year ago today that a group of friends started Operation Christmas RGV with a vision and a prayer. President Emanuel Martinez states. “It is remarkable what we have been able to accomplish in one year, and it is all thanks to God, my team and the people of the Rio Grande Valley who see our vision and are so eager to help us spread our mission farther.”
Operation Christmas RGV was founded on November 22nd, 2023, by Emanuel Martinez, Victor Anzaldua, Eduardo Zapata, and Jacqueline Baez-Lugo, who are currently sitting on the inaugural board of this organization. Operation Christmas RGV has a mission to help spread hope and joy throughout the RGV’s underserved communities year-round.
Some of the initiatives that Operation Christmas RGV has hosted are back to school drives, community events, and feeding the people who may not otherwise have a meal during the holiday season. Operation Christmas RGV’s board is looking forward to year two where their mission is to expand their volunteer database, help more cities, and find an office where they can have their headquarters.
