EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg is excited to welcome the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) for a special production of Alice in Wonderland! Young performers will have the opportunity to take center stage in a professionally guided theatrical experience, culminating in two captivating performances.
Auditions will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center. Students interested in auditioning should arrive by 3:45 p.m. and be prepared to stay for the entire two-hour session. No prior acting experience or preparation is required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to perform! Some cast members may be asked to remain for a rehearsal immediately following auditions.
This opportunity is open to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, with approximately 50-60 roles available. Selected students will participate in rehearsals Monday through Friday, dedicating approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes each day to bringing this magical production to life. The hard work of these young actors will culminate in two public performances on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium (200 N. 7th St., Edinburg).
Missoula Children’s Theatre is known worldwide for its professional touring productions, providing exceptional theater experiences to communities worldwide. Under the guidance of MCT directors, Edinburg’s young performers will bring Lewis Carroll’s classic tale to life in a lively, fast-paced production filled with adventure, whimsy, and wonder.
