BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville is informing residents of SpaceX Starship’s potential Sixth Flight TestLaunch on Monday, November 18th, with a window between the hours of 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM CST.

As this occurs, you may hear sonic booms in the South Padre Island, Port Isabel, and Brownsville areas. These sounds are a result of the space vehicle slowing down from supersonic speeds. While the noise may be loud, there is no risk to publicsafety or wildlife.

To ensure our community stays informed about this possible launch and future events, we encourage all residents to sign up for City of Brownsville Text Alerts. By registering, you’ll receive timely updates and essential information regarding City notices directly on your mobile device.
