IDEA College Preparatory Alamo T-STEM Academy in conjunction with Noble Texas Builders provided the senior students with a work-based learning opportunity through the Graphic Design class to develop a logo for a new in-house company initiative for the Noble Texas Builders and Noble Charities.
Noble Texas Builders provided the parameters, and the seniors were given one month to complete the project. Out of the forty students invited to participate, ten seniors submitted their artwork for a chance to win a $500.00 scholarship if their logo was chosen.

Alfredo Garcia, Director of Operationsat Noble, serves on an advisory board for IDEA Alamo STEAM. He said, “The kids were presenting on the year projects varying from engineering, graphic design, arts, science. It was only for the Alamo Texas campus.” He continued, “Students are also encouraged to reach out and look for internships from the local business so they can better prepare themselves for the field they want to pursue.”
Garcia said that Sr. Jacqueline Villanueva’s logo (12th-grade student) was selected as the winner. She was presented with a $500.00 scholarship checkon April 29th, 2019 at the T-STEM Advisory Board Meeting by representatives of Noble Texas Builders, Alfredo Garcia, Director of Operations, and Christine Blouch Noble Charities Director.
The student’s teacher is Gerardo Sanchez, and Dorelia Barajas is the AssistantPrincipal of Instruction, both were present during the ceremony when the student and her mom Rosalinda Villanueva received a scholarship check for $500.
