Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents interdicted three migrant smuggling events with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) resulting in 27 arrests. 

A native of Pharr, Rodriguez has been married to the former Myrna Hidalgo, a native of Mission, for 42 years. They have three adult children and two grandsons.

"The crisis at our border can be pinned directly on the inaction of President Biden and his Administration—they have turned a blind eye to the United States’ borders that they swore to protect and defend," said Governor Abbott.
