The passenger was processed as an oral false claim to U.S. citizenship and driver was placed under arrest pending criminal proceedings.

CBP OFO seized the narcotics, vehicle and turned the driver and passenger over to the custody of Maverick County Sheriff’s Office deputies for further investigation.

It is important to note that an arrest or criminal complaint is merely a charge and should not be considered evidence of guilt.

The narcotics and tractor trailer were seized by CBP. No arrests were immediately made. The case remains under investigation.
