Mercedes, TX – The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Board of Directors recently announced Armando “Mando” Correa as the new General Manager for the organization. “Mando brings a wealth of experience to his new position”, said Mike Risica, President of the Board. “His extensive experience in agriculture and education makes him a perfect fit for the position, Risica concluded.
Correa has been a lifelong resident of the Valley and has grown up at the Livestock show. He was an Ag teacher for 30 years with experience in working with youth, adults and community members associated with FFA and all related activities. He also served as Director of Alumni Affairs for two years at Texas A & I University. Correa has a Master of Science Degree from Texas A & I University. He lives outside of Lyford with his wife, Bernadette and has two adult children, Derek and Blake.
