EDINBURG, Texas — The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) announced that Cavender’s Boot City will open a new store in Edinburg, bringing new jobs and a multi-million dollar investment to the community.

Cavender’s Boot City and Whitco PGP Properties A, L.P. have purchased the property at 2820 W. University Drive, the former CVS location, to develop the new Cavender’s Boot City store. The project represents approximately $5 million in total investment for facility improvements and infrastructure upgrades, and will create around 15 full-time jobs for local residents.

Located on one of Edinburg’s busiest commercial corridors near UTRGV, the new store is expected to generate more than $4 million in annual retail sales during its first five years of operation.
