Nestlé USA has voluntarily recalled specific Lean Cuisine® and Stouffer’s® frozen meal products nationwide following reports of foreign material contamination, described explicitly as “wood-like” fragments. Consumer complaints, including at least one incident posing a potential choking risk, triggered the recall.

The following products, manufactured between August 2024 and March 2025 and distributed from September 2024 through March 2025, are subject to the recall:

Lean Cuisine® Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry
• Batch Number: 4214595511 (Best Before SEPT2025)
Stouffer’s® Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96 oz)
• Batch Numbers: 4262595915 (Best Before OCT2025), 4351595915 (JAN2026), 5051595915 (MAR2026)
Consumers can identify the affected items by checking batch codes listed clearly on the side of product packaging.
Consumer Guidance:
Nestlé advises customers who purchased any affected products to immediately discontinue use and return them to the original place of purchase for a refund or replacement. Customers can contact Nestlé USA directly at (800) 681-1676 for additional details.
Investigation and Company Response:
Nestlé USA is actively cooperating with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to investigate how these foreign materials contaminated the products and ensure that corrective measures are implemented promptly.
The company clearly stated that no other Lean Cuisine® or Stouffer’s® frozen meals are affected by this recall and affirmed its commitment to maintaining product safety and consumer trust.
