With corporate offices located in Corpus Christi and four branch locations in the Rio Grande Valley, Navy Army Community Credit Union recently opened their newest location at 408 N. Shary Rd. in Mission. The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce was on hand to welcome them to the city of Mission with a ribbon cutting event on January 6, 2016.
Having just celebrated their 60th anniversary, Navy Army Community Credit Union was founded in 1955 and has grown to be one of the largest credit unions in South Texas. With over 140,000 members and counting, their mission is to meet the financial needs and goals of their members. They offer checking and savings accounts, as well as no hassle loans and they strive to be the community’s first choice for banking.
A common misconception is that Navy Army Community Credit Union requires members to be in the Navy or the Army. This is not the case. They are open to the entire community.
Navy Army Community Credit Union is a financial cooperative and the account holders are owners of the credit union. They are able to provide low cost auto and mortgage loans as well as better rates on deposit and certificate accounts, lower fees and friendly service. Over recent years, Navy Army Community Credit Union has even offered bonus dividends to their members.
Community oriented, they involve themselves in events such as the March of Dimes walk, The STARS Gala, the South Texas Financial Literacy Summit, and the American Relay for Life.
