Professionals belonging to our LinkedIn network openly responded to a short survey. The purpose of this survey was to find out how COVID-19 pandemic impacted them.

This crisis has shown us the character of professionals’ men and women from all walks of life who are ready and willing to make whatever it takes to help stop the spread of this virus. Texas Border Business is proud to have them as our friends.

What is your profession?

I work at a data firm as a customer service rep.

How has the Coronavirus impacted your business?

This has definitely impacted my interactions with my clients.

How has the Coronavirus impacted the way you live?

It has actually impacted me a lot. I live with an autoimmune disorder that requires I take immunosuppressants every day. This has compromised my immune system, thus causing my quarantine to start early and has removed my personal interactions almost completely. I have seen five people in the last two weeks.

What is the general attitude about this pandemic in your neighborhood?

For the most part, people are listening to doctors and feel this is a real situation to take seriously.

What is your general attitude about the reaction from the community?

I’m pretty happy about their attitude. It shows a real understanding and compassion for humanity.

Do you think the government is taking appropriate actions to handle the pandemic?

I don’t think ALL of the government is doing what they should. Its a bit frustrating how some are still talking about it being like the common flu or saying it’s ok because more people die in auto accidents.

What would you do differently if you were the leader of this community?

I would emphasize the advice that medical professionals are giving, supply mental and physical support to the community, support the small businesses that are going to be affected in the best way we can, and make sure our medical professionals are well supported, not just at work but at home as well.
