This month, Jamie Brown-Rosas was selected to be featured in an Exclusive article in commemoration of Mother’s Day. She is a young mother and professional who wants to prove herself in the roles which are very important to her, that is being a mom and being a professional. 

Our readers will have an opportunity to know more about Jamie Brown-Rosas. She has all the characteristics of a loving mother as she dedicates time to her two children, Nyla, and Joseph. You will also get to know her as the consummate professional that she is.

They were living in the large city of Houston when Jamie and her husband Pablo decided to come and live in the Valley. They felt it would be better to raise their children in a smaller community where they could more easily participate in the children’s activities.

Last year, she started a new job with Texas Regional Bank as an Assistant Vice President of Business Development Officer. She told Texas Border Business she has great expectations and is striving to accomplish not only those goals set by her employer but her own as well. More in this issue.

Great things are happening in Texas. This past April, HIF Global in partnership with Governor Greg Abbott, the Matagorda County Economic Development Corporation, and other community partners announced the selection of its first industrial-scale eFuels facility in North America location to be in Matagorda County

On another note, the new San Antonio Federal Courthouse was dedicated. The Fiscal Year 2016’s Omnibus Appropriations bill included approximately $132 million of the funds that were allocated for the construction, management, and inspection of the new state-of-the-art Federal Courthouse facility designed to meet the increasing demand of the courts. This is exciting news – The Edinburg Police Department recognized Edinburg Police Officer Joaquin Garcia with the Lifesaving Award. Last December, when Officer Garcia arrived on the scene after he responded to a crash involving a motorcycle, he saw Mr. Jaime Cavazos had suffered a severe injury. The officer took quick action to prevent further blood loss until Mr. Cavazos could be transported to receive treatment by a physician. The doctor credited the officer with saving Mr. Cavazos’ life.
