MXLAN 2022 is McAllen’s 5-Day Interactive Arts and Culture Destination Festival that celebrates Mexico and Latin America’s culture and its influence on the U.S. LatinX community.
Presented by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and taking place at the McAllen Convention Center, MXLAN 2022 will be the second iteration of the successful summer destination event that attracted over 81,000 attendees on its first year.
MXLAN 2022 is scheduled from July 27 to July 31 and will showcase renowned Mexican artist such as muralists Irving Cano and Paola Delfin creating a couple of 20’x20’ murals during the festival. In addition, talented artists and creators from U.S. and Mexico will participate in the MXLAN LatinX Calenda, a celebration parade.
Additional scheduled activities are the highly popular MXLAN Mercado, a 150+ exhibitor marketplace with Mexican Artisans form dozens of Mexican states, Neon Nights 5K race, MXLAN Burning Letter Ceremony, MXLAN Breakthrough Stage, MXLAN Chess tournament, MXLAN “Newsmaker” Talks, Magic Bricks Corner, Sabor a Mexico Food Tasting, MXLAN Lights- low rise firework show, MXLAN Author Stage, MXLAN Unite- Music Concert, Mezcal, Tequila & Catrinas Festival – a mixed beverage tasting, with elevated food tasting, MXLAN Chef’s Night – A Chef Table event, MXLAN Pop Up Dance among others.
MXLAN 2022 has an expected attendance of over 100K attendees and this will make it an excellent opportunity for businesses to promote their brands in one of McAllen’s best festivals.
