Multi-agency of Law Enforcement Netted Suspect of Plains Capital Bank Robbery

Time: 12:04 PM.

Location:  7200 Block of N 10th Street ().

On Monday September 30, 2019 at approximately 12:04 p.m., McAllen Police Officers responded to an Alarm Call-For-Service at the Plains Capital Bank located at the 7200 Block of N. 10th Street McAllen, Texas. Upon arrival, a bank teller/employee reported to responding McAllen Police Officers that one (1) male suspect entered the bank, handed over a note, and made a demand for money.

The suspect left the bank immediately with an undisclosed amount of stolen money.  The suspect fled the bank area in a gray passenger vehicle. Immediately following the robbery, McAllen Police Investigators and FBI Agents assigned to the McAllen FBI Office developed leads and identified this person as a suspect in this robbery.

Earlier today, the suspect was located and arrested in rural Hidalgo County.  The arrest is the result of the multi-agency collaborative efforts that included the McAllen Police Department Police Officers, FBI Agents, and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The amount of money stolen remains undisclosed and the multi-agency investigation is continuing.

Update:

On October 2, 2029 Juan Michael Perez 41 years of age was arraigned in McAllen Municipal Court on the charge of Robbery, a Second Degree Felony.

His bond was set at $200,000.00 dollars.
