Molina Foundation to host reading party for kinder students at PSJA ISD

PHARR – More than 120 kindergarten students from Henry Ford Elementary in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo School District will be enjoying 1,075 new books and a “Maisy Mouse Celebration House” themed reading party donated by The Molina Foundation on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 9 am. 

The major distribution effort titled “Launch Into Learning for the RGV (Lanza de Libros para el RGV)”, was part of a literacy campaign this fall by The Molina Foundation for South Texas to give children an academic boost and help families engage together in reading and learning activities.

A total of 7,500 new children’s books were donated to 10 PSJA ISD campuses: Cesar Chavez Elementary; Clover Elementary; Garza Elementary; McKeever Elementary, Palacios Elementary; Ramirez Elementary; Alamo Middle School; PSJA S. Sotomayor Early College High School; PSJA Buell Central and PSJA College, Career & Technology Academy.
