Mission, TX – The City of Mission Police Department will commemorate National Police Week with a Police Memorial Ceremony on Monday, May 13, 2019.
“When duty calls, officers respond without hesitation. They give so much of themselves and though it is heartbreaking, sometimes they make the ultimate sacrifice,” Mission Police Chief Robert Dominguez said. “Our organization will pay tribute to Mission Police Officers Humberto Javier Avila and Fulgencio Velasco III, and the countless men and women across our country who have died in the line of duty.”
The public is invited to join Mission city leaders and police officers as they honor the brave law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
