Mission, TX – The City of Mission has launched an informational page on its website to help disseminate information about COVID-19 to its residents.
“City leadership continues to monitor the situation and as new information becomes available, we feel it is important to keep our community informed,” Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña said. “The City of Mission is here to serve our community throughout this outbreak. Misinformation spreads quickly, and we believe it is crucial to share factual information and guide our citizens towards credible sources.”
City leaders say the page includes a variety of resources that can benefit the entire community.
“We are trying to get ahead of this and make sure our residents are properly informed as this pandemic unravels,” Deputy City Manager David Flores said. “The page will be updated regularly as pertinent information is made available. As quickly as we receive information, it will be made available on the page in real-time.”
The page includes the following:
- Helpful coronavirus related links
- FAQ’s
- COVID-19 prevention measures
- Interactive map with coronavirus cases and status updates
- Business and community resources
- City of Mission press releases related to COVID-19
Mission will release updated information through its website, as well as social media platforms as it is made available by the CDC, Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Hidalgo County Health Department.
