Mission Community Joins Forces for a Health Fair Event

Mission Community Health Fair will provide free health screening services and to promote and cultivate a healthier community.

Mission, TX – The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Mission and Mission Regional Medical Center to host its 25th Annual Mission Community Health & Wellness Fair. The event will be held at the Mission Event Center on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is free, open to the public and will provide free screenings, awareness, and education.

The Mission Regional Medical Center’s laboratory team will provide a free master blood test to the first 500 people, in which a 12-hour fast is required before the test. Free health screenings will be provided as well and will include some of the following services:
Flu Vaccines – Complete Blood Count – Total Cholesterol – Comprehensive Metabolic Panel -Pulmonary Function – Bone Density.

At the fair, attendees can learn more about local health services and participate in interactive health discussions with Mission Regional Medical Center’s specialty doctors presenting on the following topics:

● Doors Open at 7:00 a.m.- Blood Tests will begin
● 9:00 a.m. – Dr. Kiran Mangapally- Healthy Heart
● 9:30 a.m.- Dr. Juan Chavez- The Dangers of Vaping
● 10:00 a.m.- Dr. Frank Velez- Lung Cancer Awareness
● 10:30 a.m.- Dr. Mario Del Pino- Weight Loss
