Mission, Texas – Mission area businesses have a new way to reach out to employees of the Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) and earn their business. The district has launched a new program called Mission CISD Deal$. Through this program, area businesses can advertise their special offers to district employees, who only need to show their work ID at the participating business to receive the perk.

Businesses pay $100 to participate in the Deal$ program for one year. For that year, the business and the “deal” is included in a special staff section of the Mission CISD website. The money is being set aside in a special account that will be used to help buy school supplies for the district’s annual Back to School Bash.

“We are hoping this is a win-win-win situation,” explained Craig Verley, director of public relations and marketing for Mission CISD. “We are hoping this is a way we can support our local businesses with very low-cost advertising to over 2,300 employees, provide an extra perk to our employees through the deals and discounts, and support our students through the additional school supplies we will have available for use at the Back to School Bash.”

Verley said it is a bit of an experiment and is not sure how the area business community will respond. “We are hopeful this will truly benefit our participating businesses, employees, and help out more of our students in the process.”

Mission area businesses interested in becoming a Mission CISD Deal$ participant, can contact: Craig Verley for more information at 956-323-5530, or cverley@mcisd.org
