The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the winners of the 2014 Miss Weslaco Pageant, produced by J. Nava Studios held Saturday, March 8 at the WISD Performing Arts Center.
Crowned as 2014 Miss Weslaco, Briana Zavala is the daughter of Diana Zavala of Weslaco, TX. First Runner-up Sharon Leal is the daughter of Lazaro and Lorena Leal. Second Runner-up Jacqueline Garza is the daughter of Julian and Esmeralda Garza.
Miss Zavala will represent the City of Weslaco at other chamber events such as ribbon cuttings and ground breakings. Special thanks to Alexis Guerrero, Miss Weslaco 2013, for an outstanding year.
This year, a brand new competition was added for young ladies who are interested in participating in a pageant. The first ever Little Miss Weslaco division was held, where five young first graders competed for the new title. Little Miss Weslaco 2014 went to Trinity Solis, daughter of Margarito and Melissa Solis. First Runner-up Lexi Salinas is the daughter of Yesenia Salinas. Second Runner-up Joline Rodriguez is the daughter of Gloria Rodriguez.
