The Mercedes Chamber of commerce celebrated the Man & Woman of the year during a special ceremony where numerous dedicated and successful business people also received awards.
The Chamber of Commerce in Mercedes presented the awards last week to individuals that have given of their time and effort to their community.
Dr. Daniel Trevino, Man of the Year; and Irma Agüeros, Woman of the Year were the winners and both are extraordinary people. They share a competitive spirit and compassion for others. They are dynamic individuals who are well connected in their communities, and they are relentless in their efforts to help their communities.
The award ceremony included Recipients like Sam Magee, Presidents Award & Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show & Rodeo -Business of the Year; Gilberto Perez, Contribution to the Arts; Olga Maldonado, Civic Leadership Award; Lauro Saldaña, Lifetime Service Award; Eva Ruelas, Lifetime Service Award; Rachel Lovestand- Audagnotti, Leader in Education; and Ester Medrano, Director of the Year.
