The McAllen Collaboration Space is an initiative of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Wells Fargo to offer a space for organizations and individuals to collaborate, share knowledge and develop solutions to the issues they are trying to address. The space propels interaction, cooperation, communication and casual mingling. This cross-fertilization makes the space more human, spontaneous and flexible, making people more creative, fostering discussions and inspiring collaboration. The area is equipped with wireless connectivity, a collaboration table, electricity, and drawing panel.
“This initiative is a great fit to our commitment to foster innovation and business creation in the region,” said Alma Ortega Johnson, South Texas Area President of Wells Fargo Bank. “The space is ideal for brainstorming, trading ideas and solutions, keeping the conversation open to a diverse group of perspectives and a far more open dialogue.”
The Collaboration Space is located inside the McAllen Creative Incubator at 601 N. 16th St. McAllen, and it is open Monday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Individuals are welcome to use the space at no cost as long as there is not a group reservation. Groups need to fill out an application and pay a minimal cost to reserve the space.
