Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
On Veterans Day, we remember those brave men and women who honorably served our great nation.. It is because of the millions of people who answered that call to serve that America is still the greatest country in the world. McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos & City Commission, Texas Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, District-20 and the City of McAllen Veterans War Memorial Committee, along with the McAllen Police Honor Guard; McAllen Fire Honor Guard, McAllen I.S.D. and Vanguard Academy students were part of a Veterans Day “Honoring and Celebrating Veterans for Their Service and Sacrifice” in honor of all who have served the United States of America in uniform.
