Kick off summer with some serious girl power! The City of McAllen’s Sunset Live Outdoor Music Festival returns this Saturday, June 8, 201, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center Oval Park, 700 Convention Center Boulevard for its final free, family and pet-friendly concert of the spring season, which always boasts free parking. The event will be featuring leading local female artists coming together for what is guaranteed to be a sizzling concert to end the season!

This will be the 40th concert for Sunset Live making Sunset Live the leader in outdoor live music in the Rio Grande Valley. This concert series combines spectacular music, outdoor activities, variety of food trucks, beverages, and local artisans, creating one of the most popular music gatherings in the Rio Grande Valley.

Beatriz Gonzalez, Donna, TX native, with hundreds of thousands of YouTube views and plans for new upcoming releases, she is poised to make a significant impact. Felicia Rivera, Weslaco, TX native graduated from UTRGV and now plans on focusing on her musical career.

Gabriela ARI, McAllen, TX native, currently resides and studies music in Nashville at Belmont University where she is working on her undergraduate degree.

Viviana Villalon, Palmview, TX native,  made it onto American Idol Season XIII where she used her success to break out onto the local music scene. She has been touring as a soloist for Carnival Cruise for the past three years.

Alexa Michelle Posas, Rio Grande City, TX native, has won numerous awards throughout high school and college as a mariachi vocalist. and violinist. She is touring across the U.S. year round.

Emma Grace Escobar, Rio Grande City, TX native, 11-year old upcoming artist full of potential.

Held every second Saturday of the month, with three FREE concerts in the spring and three FREE concerts in the fall, Sunset Live focuses on promoting the arts and giving up-and-coming artists and musicians a different type of exposure outside of the local bar scene.
