Downtown McAllen is gearing up for its next Market on Main as the community celebrates St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a vibrant outdoor market experience. Main Street will transform into a lively destination featuring more than 100 vendors, live music, artists, food, drinks, and family fun. Residents and visitors can explore handcrafted goods, boutique fashion, jewelry, home décor, and specialty treats from local makers in a shamrock-filled festive atmosphere.

The event is free, pet-friendly, and perfect for all ages, offering live performances from Fergus Dowling, Becky Koehler and Brandt Kronholm, Christopher Magallon, Irish dancing from Dancentre, and more. Guests can savor delicious local food and beverages, stroll downtown, take photos, and connect with the McAllen community in a relaxed, celebratory setting that highlights the city’s creativity and local entrepreneurs.

The McAllen Creative Incubator will join the celebration, showcasing artwork and dance performances from IDEA campuses across the Rio Grande Valley.

WHERE: ​Downtown McAllen – Main Street between Beech Avenue and Gumwood Avenue, and Archer Park

Closure will be in effect for less than 24 hours

Plan ahead and seek alternate routes as Main Street will be closed from Gumwood to Beech Avenue on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is to help secure the area for all businesses and participants of the St. Patrick’s Market on Main event. 

Free parking will be available in the garage next to Casa de Palmas, located at 101 North Main Street. Thank you for helping the Traffic Operations Department keep all participants and attendees safe during this event.
