The McAllen Valley chapter of Hadassah will hold it’s annual Walk for Health on Sunday, November 1 at 7:30 am at a new location, Town Lake at Firemen’s Park on 201 North 1st Street (corner of Business 83 and 2nd Street) in McAllen, 78501.
The Walk for Health is open to everyone. The family oriented event is for adults and children. Registration: $15.00 includes T-Shirts and Snacks. Sponsorship levels are also available. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., Warm-up exercises begin at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. You’ll get an extra hour of sleep Saturday night before the Walk for Health. Daylight Savings Time ends Saturday night at 2 am so set your clocks back one hour.

Hadassah is a volunteer organization, whose members are primarily women; which inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. The fundraising efforts of Hadassah members helps improve the health of people worldwide through their support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Local President of the McAllen-Valley chapter of Hadassah is Evelyn Tencer. Cora Woloski and Claudia Silberman are Co-Vice Presidents of Fundraising for Hadassah.
