The McAllen Public Utility (MPU) Drive-Thru, located on the east side of McAllen City Hall at 1300 W. Houston Ave., will undergo renovations and will be temporarily closed for one week, starting on Mon., March 24, 2025. During this time, MPU customers can continue to make payments at the customer service window inside McAllen City Hall or conveniently pay their bills online.
These renovations are part of MPU’s commitment to enhancing customer service and improving facilities to better serve the community.
MPU General Manager Mark Vega emphasized the importance of these improvements, stating, “These renovations will enhance the overall customer service experience by improving safety, efficiency, and convenience for our customers. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we make these necessary upgrades to serve our community better.”
Customers are encouraged to take advantage of alternative payment methods, including:
- Customer Service Window: Located inside McAllen City Hall, available during regular business hours.
- Online Payments: Secure and convenient bill payment at www.mcallen.net and click on the Pay Your Water Bill link.
- Other Payment Options: Customers may also use authorized payment locations or set up autopay for added convenience.
MPU appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers as these improvements are made.
The drive-thru will reopen on Mon., March 31, 2025.
