After 12 months, today, McAllen Public Library launched its newly redesigned website.

The modern and innovative website provides customers with a more responsive and intuitive user interface. The homepage welcomes visitors with bold bright colors, a clean uncluttered design, and highlights the Library’s digital resources and social media pages to increase engagement with patrons.

The website redesign took about a year from start to finish, with some links still in process. The Library used a low-cost template that the City of McAllen IT Department adapted. Library staff contributed all the content and photos

“We are excited about our new website launch and the information it provides for our patrons to better access our digital resources and everything the library has to offer,” said Kate P. Horan, McAllen Public Library Director. “Our visitors will easily navigate the new website and quickly access the information they are searching for.”

The new website not only echoes the award-winning McAllen Public Library in its innovative use of color and design but also offers visitors the opportunity to interact with Library staff in real time and suggest a title to add to the collection.

McAllen Public Library’s new website will be updated on a regular basis with new services and events. Visitors are encouraged to explore the website and sign up for the McAllen Public Library’s newsletter at https://bit.ly/mplsubscribe.
