McAllen Municipal Court is celebrating love this Valentine’s Day by offering free wedding ceremonies to couples looking to tie the knot on the most romantic day of the year.
On Fri., Feb. 14, the court will provide complimentary wedding services for couples wishing to exchange vows. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the McAllen Public Safety Building, 1601 N. Bicentennial Blvd., with judges available to marry couples at no cost.
“We are excited to offer this heartfelt opportunity to couples in our community,” said Presiding Judge Lauren Sepulveda. “Valentine’s Day celebrates romance, love, and commitment, and we are honored to be a small part of so many couples’ special moments.”
Couples interested in scheduling a wedding must obtain a valid marriage license at least 72 hours prior to the ceremony and present a valid form of identification at the time of the wedding. Guests and loved ones are welcome to witness the unions.
Space is limited, with only 10 appointments available on Valentine’s Day. Appointments will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. To schedule a wedding, contact Adriana Flores, MMC Wedding Coordinator, at 956-681-2911 or aflores@mcallen.net.
