Things are continuing to look up for travelers flying out of McAllen. Allegiant announced seasonal, non-stop jet service between McAllen and Los Angeles via Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The company, known for its travel deals, is now offering introductory fares as low as $99 one way.
“We are excited to offer our McAllen customers yet another popular vacation destination with this low-cost nonstop service to Los Angeles,” said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President. “We are confident the community will appreciate our ultra-low fares and the convenience of bundling their entire vacation for one great price.”
The new flights will operate twice weekly between McAllen International Airport (MFE) and Los Angeles International Airport beginning Thursday, June 5, 2014 ending Sept. 7, 2014, joining Allegiant’s existing flights to Las Vegas and Orlando. Flight days, times and fares can be found at Allegiant.com.
“We’re excited about Allegiant offering another non-stop destination from the McAllen-Miller International Airport. Allegiant has done a great job with its destinations from McAllen to Las Vegas and Orlando,” McAllen Mayor Jim Darling said. “I believe another destination out west will enhance service not only for the McAllen International Airport but, for our entire community.” The flights will run on Thursdays and Sundays.
