Fossum Middle School choir to perform at Carnegie Hall: The mixed choir at McAllen ISD’s Fossum Middle School has been selected to perform in a Choral Festival at New York City’s world-famous Carnegie Hall in April 2020. This opportunity is being funded, in part, by the McAllen Education Foundation.
This will be the first time ever that a McAllen ISD choir has performed at the famous venue. The students will be working with Greg Gilpin, a well-known conductor and composer. They will perform a brand new piece of music which Mr. Gilpin composed. It will be an enriching experience for these students.
Since 1996, the McAllen Education Foundation has awarded 385 grants, worth approximately $568,000, and benefited more than 54,000 students.
