A 2-man drone operating team from the McAllen ISD Police Dept. are en route to Houston to assist with Hurricane Harvey search and assessment efforts.

The team will assist FEMA teams with search and rescue efforts plus damage assessments. The team packed provisions, including food and water, for 3-4 days.
In the Spring of 2017, two officers in the McAllen ISD Police Dept. became certified in the use of drones.
