Although inclement weather conditions did not allow for the ground breaking ceremony, the events were combined for both facilities and group tours were offered at the Green Jay complex during the afternoon.

“Our agency has aligned itself with HUD’s strategic plan in providing affordable housing via The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) which, has been a key policy tool for preserving and expanding the supply of affordable rental housing. Green Jay and Hibiscus Village are two examples of how our agency is filling the gap for affordable housing in our great city of McAllen” stated McAHA Executive Director Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramirez Said. As McAHA leads the way in expansion and new developments, its mission to provide decent and safe affordable housing remains strong.  For more information, please call (956) 686-3951 or visit us at www.mcallenha.org.
