The third annual McGrinch event hosted by the McAllen Heritage Center (MHC), McAllen’s museum of history and culture will be held on Saturday, December 14 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at La Placita Park, 301 S. Main St. McGrinch at La Placita Park is a free, family event and will feature a meet and greet with the very friendly McGrinch. Free photos with McGrinch are welcome, so attendees can bring a cell phone or camera. Local vendors by STX Markets holiday music, food vendors and free kids’ goody bags, while they last, will make the event diverse, fun and exciting.
The outdoor event will be held in the museum’s unique outdoor park right in the center of downtown McAllen and is a family friendly, pet-friendly event! McGrinch attire and ugly Christmas sweaters are encouraged.
Free McGrinch tees for kids, sponsored by Explore McAllen and Visit McAllen, will be available while they last.
The MHC, located at the corner of Main St. and Chicago Ave., in the historic former U.S. Post Office. MHC is the only museum dedicated to the preservation of McAllen’s history. Parking is available at the downtown parking garage located at 221 S. 15th St.; weekend rates apply.
