Parks and Recreation to discuss registration, traffic closures, admission fees
McAllen- In two weeks McAllen will play host to one of the biggest sporting events in the state. The Games of Texas will make the City of Palms their home for four days this summer.
McAllen and surrounding communities can expect more hustle and bustle as 10,000 athletes along with 10,000 spectators from around Texas descend in McAllen.
Sponsored by the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, the games will feature will 17 team and individual tournaments including swimming, soccer, table tennis, cycling and volleyball.
The 2016 Games of Texas will take place July 28-31 at various locations throughout McAllen and across the Rio Grande Valley.
